Carefully Selected Components for Optimal Performance

  • LowTide Cruiser Deck: Featuring a bamboo and maple core, fiberglass and walnut veneers, our LowTide Cruiser is built for comfort, flex, and fun.
  • Stylus TKP Trucks: Precision-engineered for responsiveness and stability, our Stylus TKP trucks offer smooth turning, exceptional grip, and reliable control.
  • 66mm Pantheon Sliders Wheels: Our carefully selected wheels provide excellent grip, comfort, and roll speed, ensuring a smooth and efficient ride on various surfaces. The small core optimizes the urethane depth for comfort and speed for a wheel this size. Choose between clear 74a and black 78a.
  • Precision Bearings: Featuring built-in spacers to smooth out slides and increase longevity, our Precision Bearings are built to last. High-quality steel-ball bearings minimize friction and maximize roll speed, allowing you to glide effortlessly.
  • Angled Risers: Pantheon designed 3D printed angled risers are included to optimize the truck geometry, improving wheel clearance and enhancing the overall riding experience. We assemble with positive 5 degree angle on front and rear, but you can flip the rear around to increase stability if you’re taking this board fast.

The caveat for this review is I live in NY and ordered the day it went for sale. Since then, there hasn’t been a ton of weather that’s been dry and above 30 at the same time or if it was I had 3 viruses in my house lol. But! The two rides I went on left me very happy and feeling like my exploration and quiver building has come to an end. I also learned when wanting to cobble a commuter deck together in November that there is great value in Jeff’s design vision and going for a complete. Again, I rediscovered love for skating by way of small loaded cruiser to basically chase my kids around. That quickly became my “thing”. Something that brings joy, allows me to tinker, and inspires me to get outside and move again. I primarily surfskate (or at least those are the skills I’m trying to improve) and I go for longer distance errands and commutes with the prana and I had wanted to get a different cruiser after learning a bunch and trial and error. The inevitable comparisons with the comet…5the internet convinced me that that’s what I was looking for and frankly I never bonded or felt comfortable with it. Cos of surf skate trucks it’s felt stiff and flex along with narrow width didn’t inspire confidence. And where I live is flat flat flat and it seems the most fun people had with the comet was with some topography. The LowRide answered a few things, width and deck feel, aesthetics that I can admire and, for better or worse, I’m more likely to grab something that looks cool as hell. I just had a quick run with using a pats risers plug and some softer bushings more in line with what I use on my surf skates and I’m so pleased. I can have some pump and get to better speeds, have more confidence/comfort with the flex due to the width and it’s nimble enough to pop up and change directions quick to go after another child on a scooter. I cannot wait to take this on the board walk for family bike/scooter rides. So yea, this isn’t an “in spite of” of better than comparison, simply a statement of it being better for me and my needs/circumstances.
So do yourself a favor and grab one if you’re on the fence or in the market. If it’s good for a processing intermediate rider like id imagine someone with more skill would love it as well.
