What Makes the Supersonic LDP Different
Dialed Geometry for Confident Setup
The Supersonic Aegis uses the same precision mold as the Superdupersonic but is tuned specifically for a 130mm truck setup. This keeps the total track width just right so the wheels can turn fully into the machined wheel wells and fenders—maximizing clearance and maintaining a clean ride in all conditions.
We still recommend Bear 40° or 30° in the rear and 50° or 40° in the front, but there’s one key difference:
-
Risers are part of the design.
The same riser package we typically use on the Superdupersonic for 102mm Hokus now gets installed on the Aegis to work with 92mm Karma wheels. -
If you want to size up beyond 92mm, plan on adding taller risers to keep your clearance and avoid wheelbite.
This keeps the Aegis nimble and pump-friendly while protecting your wheels from rubbing under hard lean.
Fendered Shape for All-Weather Riding
The Aegis takes the Supersonic platform and gives it a purpose-built, all-weather silhouette. The deck is cut with squared ends and machined wheel wells that double as fenders, keeping road spray, slush, and city grime off your shoes and clothes. If your commute takes you through puddles, damp streets, or unpredictable debris, this is the board that lets you keep riding—and stay clean doing it.
Refined Curves for Comfort and Control
Like the Superdupersonic, the Aegis features mild camber between the drops and tightly tuned curves that make the geometry work seamlessly. Every curvature point—including the de-wedged tail—features subtle crescent drops for added strength and dialed flex control.
The concave remains mellow for all-day comfort, with no dead-flat zones. The result is a deck that feels planted, smooth, and efficient—built for long rides, bad weather, and any road condition.
Supersonic Aegis Design Explained
Pumping Potential Built In
For LDP riders who want to pump, the Aegis keeps the same wedge front / de-wedge rear geometry as the Superdupersonic, giving you high-degree turning up front and a rock-solid low rear to drive power. But because the Aegis is designed around 130mm Bear trucks, you’ll unlock the perfect track width to let the wheels tuck into the machined wells and fenders—maximizing lean while keeping things clean.
Front Setup (+15°)
The front of the Aegis mounts at +15°, just like the Superdupersonic.
-
A 50° Bear truck runs at 65°—a high, lively angle that, paired with soft bushings, makes pumping incredibly easy and front-weighted.
-
Prefer a touch more stability? A 40–45° truck nets you 55–60° effective angle, still pumpable but more forgiving at speed.
Rear Setup (–17°)
The rear mounts at –17°, giving you a perfectly de-wedged drive point:
-
A 40° Bear runs at 23°, locking the back end for powerful weight transfers.
-
A 30° Bear takes you all the way down to 13°, ideal if you want maximum stability and rear drive for ultra-distance pushes.
-
Prefer a bit more play? A 43° Paris nets 26°, softening the rear just enough while staying planted.
Flex options explained
BAMBOO Light
The light flex is ideal for riders under 170 lbs. You CAN ride this up to 190 pounds, but you’re going to have an easier time bottoming it out. Heavier riders are going to stress this board more, so this is something to keep in mind when riding. If you’re a rider who really wants to ride a flexiible board, we recommend pairing the Bamboo light with risers and our large 102mm Hoku Wheels. That will get you off of the ground further and allow more space between the bottom of the board and the ground for the board to flex. The light flex is slightly more sturdy than previous versions, given that the neck and tail are slightly wider and stiffer. The body of the board still has a high quality flex, as designed.
BAMBOO Medium
The medium flex is the standard. Anyone between 150 and 210 pounds should be able to ride this board. Riders at the top of this limit should only choose this board if they want a lot of flex. Riders at the bottom should pick this if they want a stiffer, more stable setup. Or if you’re a very powerful pumper that’s really looking for a snappy flex when putting maximum pressure into the board. I (Jeff, the owner/designer of Pantheon boards) am 190 pounds and I ride the medium flex. The board has a comfortable flex under my weight.
BAMBOO Heavy
The heavy flex is stronger and stiffer than the medium flex. Riders up to about 260 lbs should be able to ride this deck with the 92mm Karma wheels and risers and a 50 degree truck up front (rear would be 40 or 43 based on current options). Heavier riders may be able to get away with riding this deck by compensating with larger wheels and some risers to create more space between the ground and the low point on the board. This deck is not as stiff as our past 8 ply maple / glass version, but it is probably stronger, given the thicker plies and less opportunity for delamination.
