Directional All-Mountain Freeride Carver
Stable. Damp. Precise.

We’ve spent over a decade perfecting the feel in our longboards. This is our first snowboard, built with that same attention to geometry, flex, and edge control. Intention. Attention.

$600 Introductory Pricing for brave riders willing to give us a shot. It is expected to jump around $50-75 for future runs. This price is just for our first run. As a thank-you, every preorder customer gets a handmade alpaca hat — created right here in Colorado, from our own alpacas at our home.

We are leading with a 159W board. We intend to make more sizes next season based on feedback from this board.

The name Boreas comes from the Colorado pass and the Greek god of the North Wind, a symbol of winter’s power and presence.

We dedicate this board to our friend Carter Kohler, who was instrumental in its testing and development, and who named it. This project will always carry a part of him.

*Production Note — Reference Stance Marking*

During this first production run we learned that the graphic sublimation process results in approximately 1% topsheet shrinkage. The stance reference graphic was added just before production, prior to having that data, and did not account for that change.

To achieve the intended 58 cm reference stance, align the front binding with the square labeled 58 cm and mount it one set of holes forward. The rear reference marker will line up correctly as marked. If in doubt, use a tape measure!

This is strictly a labeling issue within the graphic layer and does not affect insert placement, board geometry, or performance. Future runs will have updated artwork to account for topsheet shrinkage.

Thoughtful Construction, Tuned for Ride Quality

The Boreas uses a paulownia core to keep weight down, reinforced with poplar along the edges to provide added structure under load while turning. Bamboo stringers run down the center to add energy and rebound, and they provide extra strength at the inserts.

Triax fiberglass ties the structure together, giving the board a predictable, composed response under load. Carbon reinforcements extend from the inserts toward the effective edge and add stability where it matters most, helping the board stay calm and precise when speeds pick up and conditions get variable.

Damping You Can Feel

Snow conditions are rarely perfect, and the brain can only process so much input at once. Chatter, tracked-out runs, and mixed snow can make a board feel nervous or harsh. The Boreas is designed to absorb much of that vibration rather than pass it straight to the rider, so you can place your focus more on where you’re going and how you’re getting there.

Urethane sidewalls work together with a progressive core profile to reduce unwanted vibration and create a ride that feels planted and composed, even when the surface isn’t.

The board stays calm so you can stay deliberate.

Shaped to Turn with Intention

The Boreas uses a mild directional camber profile with a moderate setback and subtle taper to keep the board engaged through the entire arc of a turn. Camber underfoot provides consistent edge pressure and lets the rider load the tail through the finish of a turn without the board washing out, while the longer nose adds support when conditions soften or terrain gets variable.

An 8.5m sidecut was chosen to balance stability with responsiveness — long enough to feel composed at speed, but still able to draw a clean, deliberate line when tipped on edge.

The stance range centers the rider over the working portion of the sidecut, so the board feels predictable whether you’re making short adjustments or committing to a full carve. We have centered the waist directly between the inserts for a balanced, flexible ride.

Spoon shaping in the nose and tail slightly lifts the contact zones, helping the board release smoothly and roll edge-to-edge without feeling grabby.

Base & Finish

The Boreas uses a graphite-infused sintered base selected for durability, wax retention, and consistent glide across a wide range of conditions. Sintered material absorbs wax more deeply than extruded bases and holds up well to repeated tuning over the life of the board. The graphite additive improves durability and helps reduce static buildup in colder, drier snow.

Edges are factory tuned to a 1° base bevel and 88° side bevel. They arrive sharp and ready to ride. Some riders may choose to lightly detune the contact points to suit personal preference, but the combination of this tune and the spooned nose and tail provides strong edge hold without feeling overly grabby.

The board ships with a factory wax that will last for the first few sessions. As with any sintered base, regular waxing will continue to improve glide over time and keep the base performing at its best.

    Awesome daily driver!

Pantheon always has had amazing board design, and their first snowboard is no different. Truly an impressive first showing.

This board is amazing, feels nimble yet can lock in at speed. If you are looking for an all mountain freeride board that holds up, you will not be disappointed.

    I am 5’8″, 170lbs, 9.5, 159 was a good fit.

I wont give this Board 5 stars, since I could’t get it on the slope yet. So wait till next year for an Update here 😉

But let’s talk about what we can talk about!

The Board comes in a board bag and looks phenomenal!

The pink urethane really give this some nice contrast and the graphic is nice and popping!

After renting and buying heavily used boards this is something I wanted to give a chance and I’m sure ill get back to this Review in a year – Watch me!

I’m confident it’ll be 5 stars next year! Best of luck getting out there ASAP and thanks for the review.

I tested this board of some chopped east-coast slush and ice. It was about 30-32 degrees with light freezing rain.

My initial feelings on this board: Light, excellent dampness, easy to engage the edge, lays a decent trench, pops jumps and rollers really well. Overall this is a very confidence inspiring board. Feels really stable at speed. Also the out of box finish is plenty plenty fast 🙂

I’m 5’5″ 150 lbs, so 159W should be quite big for me. In spite of that it handles and carves very easily, this is a good option for me when my pure carving board is feeling too stiff and unwieldy.

This board really shines when you just point it down the hill and rage. Its really stable and composed at speed, you can just go brain-off and get after it.

As some of us expected, they really knocked it out of the park with this one, I will be buying Pantheon snowboards again!

I have been teaching snowboarding for 39 years and during that time it has been really difficult to find a board that I can teach any level of student on, AND have something that was high performing enough for personal free riding. This board does it all.
Because of the spooned/early rise nose, turn initiation is super easy even at low speeds, while the low nose profile gives you a much longer running length and edge length than is usual for a 158 board. That in turn equates to great stability in straight line speed. The graphite infused base is super fast, particularly on cold snow. Definitely faster than most freeride boards.
The 8.5m sidecut is a great all around dimension, just small enough for some pretty tight turns, yet big enough to give you high speed stability- it was rock solid in the 50mph range.
While not a designated ‘carving board’, it has great torsional stiffness and consequently excellent edge hold. Carving on it was precise and easy. The first day that I rode it we had bulletproof ice from a freeze/thaw cycle, and it didn’t slip out at all once I engaged the edge.
I absolutely loved the width, my boots are only 8.5, but I love to tip my boards over without the risk of booting out, and quite often with mid-wides they can be sluggish edge-to-edge. Not so with the Boreas…it’s light weight makes it really agile and nimble. It really dances through moguls.
In conclusion, this board would suit any intermediate and above who doesn’t want to hit boxes and rails, but wants to ride the whole mountain. Someone who doesn’t want a quiver, but a board they could take to ANY mountain in ANY conditions, and know that the board will shine…a true quiver killer.
